Porcelain tiles are all instaled, some of the marble still needs to arrive to line the shampoo hole thing in the wall and the marble for the sink counter-top.

Kinja'd!!!

How do you feel about the pattern in the porcelain OPPO? Is white prime marble going to look good?

Was that grouted or sealed? What was used as a backer? I like the tile a lot, but would have installed it in a running bond myself. Looks good so far.

Where’s update #5?

Did you pour a new shower pan and, if yes, tips/pointers?

Ooh, I like how it is turning out! I see you are going for a floor recessed shower drain? Excelent choice, we’ve got one of those too since a few months. Also, are you going to use a shower curtain or a glass door?

I really like the tiles by the way! Though I would combine it with ceramic sinks instead of white prime marble, but that’s just a matter of taste.

Don’t have a shower pan I think, just tile over the foundation and I relocated the drain to the side so I could install that horizontal one.

Ah, okay :(

We have to pan because permits and I’m still really REALLY on the fence about how I’m gonna go about doing so

I have no idea what half those things. I just know I had to buy special porcelain specific mortar and grouting.

Recessed drain, yes!

The sinks are going to be semi-attached ceramic sinks, the counter top is going to be a big slab of marble.

I’m going for a 4 part sliding glass door with chrome details, should be installed by Friday.

Maybe this is an apartment thing, idk, I could be wrong, I know next to nothing about renovating.

I think I might like the marble with semi-attached sinks, though I’ve been brainwashed by Dutch bathroom trends, which mostly place such semi-attached sinks on wood, so I’m just not used to it.

All in all I think it will end up being really nice! Keep us posted!

That’s what I wanted, but my architect advised against using wood in the bathroom, something about constant moisture and steam.

I get his caution, though when using the right kind of wood it does work quite well. Almost all bathrooms we sell have wooden sink cubboards etc., with the most being made of sealed particle board(even quite upmarket ones) and some being made of treated hardwood.
